Content?

Hello peeps, did you miss me?

Just thought it was time to share a few more insights into the wonderful world of Cix Conferencing and its many denizens.

Trouble is, there's not a lot. Oh wait, there is a conference which is just burgeoning with posts and pithy comment. The cix.customer conference has been taken feedback on Parkglobe's new baby Cix Forums and that is providing all the material needed for the usual circular and ill formed arguments to coalesce from the ether.

Cix Forums is the successor to the sadly lamed and incontinent CixOnline and at first whiff it doesn't smell so bad. Still as slow as Freud taking a shit but almost as pleasurable if you can get past the geegaws and knick knacks the Management have deemed essential for a modern browser driven forum. It's not going down well with the old hands though, they're having a hard time getting their heads around the rebranding of the product from Conferencing to Forums, working out how to interface with the hordes of peach fluffed newbies that will inevitably be joining and getting their collective knickers in twists about Graham Davies particularly favourite big new idea; picture banners on the conference's, sorry Forum's, home page.

He thinks it's fine for Parkglobe to use Flickr's API to gather pictures from Flickr users for prettifying his commercial outlet, many disagree.

Can I direct your attention to the Flickr thread here which might give a little insight into the way Flickrites view their copyrighted works and remind all interested parties that with the benefit of the Flickr Stats facilities you can run but you can't hide? I thought so.

Well, if you should happen to want to look for yourself and you're an ex-cixen Parkglobe are currently offering a promotion allowing old users back on the system for a look-see. Just head on over the Forums and scratch your head over your nickname for a few moments. I can't guarantee this isn't a subtle method of information gathering that will add to your pron and get you spammed mercilessly by Parkglobe because the Lurker, despite having many an old nickname, prefers to lie low. But you could always try fis.
